CURRENT MEASUREMENT & TRANSFORMER OPTIONS
VOLTECH AC INTERFACE

HOW IS CURRENT MEASURED USING THE AC INTERFACE?

The AC Interface, equipped with Voltech Current Transformers, enables the AT tester to measure currents
accurately and reliably using the Current Sense method.

Stage 1

Test current flows from the external AC source into the device under test via an isolation relay.

Stage 2

The current returns through another relay and passes through a current transformer (CT) fitted to the AC Interface.

Stage 3

The CT scales down the current so that the AT3600/AT5600 tester can measure it.

VOLTECH CURRENT TRANSFORMERS

CT 10-20 (Included in the Package)

CT 10-20 (Included in the Package)

Measurement Range
:
50 mA to 10 A
Ratio: 1:20
Max Current: 10 A
Function: Scales larger currents down (e.g., 5 A → 0.25 A) so the AT tester can handle them
Default Settings: Most users can use the default 1:20 ratio in the AT software

Note: Very low currents (<50 mA) will also be scaled down and may be more affected by noise

CT 0.1-1 (Sold Separately)

CT 0.1-1 (Sold Separately)

Measurement Range:
1-100 mA
Ratio: 1:1
Purpose: Measures smaller currents (1–100 mA) while testing at higher voltages
Use Case: Ideal for precision testing where accurate low-current measurement is critical
