Product : AT3600
Question : We have a client (Datatronics Romoland, Inc.) that has a handful of the AT3600 devices. We're needing to upgrade the PC that is used to calibrate the AT3600's. The existing PC has a PCI-GPIB card. The new PC will have Windows 7 with PCI-e slots so we'll need to upgrade the card to a PCI-e\GPIB card. Do you have any recommendations as to the a replacement card? Also does it matter if the PC is 32bit or 64bit? Thank you in advance for any details that you may provide.

Hi Nathan,

We have tested the software on Windows 7 32 bit and everything is fine as long as the GPIB drivers support DOS mode. National Instruments GPIB drivers do have a DOS support mode that can be enabled in them, so in principle, any NI GPIB card should work. We have been using the NI USB-GPIB adapters very successfully (rather than installing a card inside the computer).

Best regards,

Tim.
