Product : PM1000+Serial Number : 100008201236Firmware : 4.21Software : 2.0.0.0Accessories : Universal Breakout box, serial number 100008800194
Item Under Test : DishWasherAnalyser Set-Up : Low Power measurement using universal breakout box connected as in voltech specification 86_637_0_5WMeasured Values : Power range to be measured 0 W to 1 WRemote Operation : USB connection to PC softwareQuestion : Standard EN 50564:2011 suggests a supply side voltage measurement for low power loads, as depicted in figure B.1. Is the connection of the breakout box suggested in specification 86_637_0_5W by Voltech compliant with such connection in figure B.1? If not, which is the internal schematic connection of the breakout box in terms of voltage and current measure?

Dear Giacomo,

Your breakout box is compliant with figure B.1. At very low power loads the impedance of the Voltage channel, although high, becomes significant as it draws a small current from the supply. Wiring it in this way prevents this current from being measured by the power analyser.

Best regards,

Tim.
