Product : AT5600
Question : We've recently purchased a second Voltech AT unit, 5600. Our old unit is a 3600. My supervisor has instructed me to get it installed but told me I need to add a light curtain. Your recommendationis for the older 3600 is;

Voltech Safety Interlock Cable
Banner ‘Micro-Screen’ safety light curtain
1 off USCD-1T2 Metal Box Controller
1 off USE2424YI Yellow Emitter 610mm high with 150mm to 9m range.
1 off USR2424YI Yellow Receiver 610mm high with 150mm to 9m range.

Is this the same current recommendation for the AT5600?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Joshua
thanks for the question

Yes, the interlock port on the AT5600 is identical to the AT3600 so the same system will work.
You can prove this to yourself by trying your existing LCRUT on the AT5600.
the At5600 has a RED/GREEN Icon on the bottom left of the display that constantly shows you the light curtain status - you dont even need to run a program to test it out!

This is also mentioned on the transition document
https://www.voltech.com/Applications/AT36_to_AT56_Tips.aspx
scroll down to the box "SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM")

There is one subtle difference on the AT5600 to meet newer more stringent H+S regulations
The At5600 needs the interlock to run ANY test, whereas the AT3600 only needs it to run >50V tests
As the majority of our customers use a combination of HV and LV in one program its not really an issue, but though i would mention it

You can still get the interlock cable from us (our part # 250-030) and the manual for wiring up the banner is on our downloads page
(Very Bottom of page HERE)

Hope this helps - please ask if you need any help and let us know how you get on!
Kind Regards
Rich
