Dear John,
The Editor Software does not need registering at all, and the Server Software requires registering only if you wish to trial or purchase the Database Connectivity pack to allow you to store all test results to a database system. You may wish to do this to enable analysis of the results data for trends, statistical process control, or simply storage reasons.
By test data I'm assuming you mean the test results data. There are two types of data; the test programs and the test results. The test programs are developed using the Editor software. Using this software allows you to draw up the transformer schematic and select the tests you require. You can also run the programs using the editor software. When this is done test results are returned to the editor software. All communications to the editor software are done via the Auxiliary port. Once the program is developed it can sent to the Server Software or stored internally on the ATi. If test programs options of 'Send results to Sever' or 'Send retry results to Server' are selected (when developing the program in the Editor software) then the test results will be sent to the Server Software. All communications with the server software take place via the Server port on the ATi. The server software stores results data and test programs on the PC hard drive. Results can also be stored to a database if you purchase the DB connectivity package as mentioned above.
More details of this are provided in the ATi user manual and software help systems. It sounds very complicated but is simple once you have it set up and see it in action. I've given a very broad overview here of how it works and mentioned some of the features. If there's anything specifically you would like on then let me know in this thread and I'll do my best to answer it for you.
Best regards,
Tim.

"The server software stores results data and test programs on the PC hard drive." Where on the hard drive and in what format?
In the AT Server program under Setup, Results,Standard Results Saving(CSV) is checked..
In Setup, Directories, Results Directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Voltech Instruments\Voltech AT Server, but there are no files that would indicate test data or a sequential filename.
Help?

Hi John,
You have found the area in the software that specifies the location. It's in CSV format that you can open in a spread sheet program such as Excel, and the location is the results directory that you have found. You are using a 64 bit Windows version and the default location for the files (C:\Program Files (x86)\Voltech Instruments\Voltech AT Server) is not accessible. In 64 bit Windows Microsoft change it to remove permissions. I would suggest you create a 'Server Results' folder under your Documents folder and change the results directory to that. The system will have permission to write into there and you should see the results files appear.
Best regards,
Tim.

I did as you requested but found no .CSV
I only found C1091213.atr as a recently saved file but I do not know what it is.

The .atr file is in CSV format. You can open this up in Excel and everything will display OK. You can also associate the file type with Excel so that double clicking on a .atr file will in future launch Excel automatically.
Best regards,
Tim.
