What is the meaning of a “Compliance error” when using the DC1000?
The DC1000 can supply up to 25Amps DC up to a maximum of 5V DC across the DUT.
This represents a resistance of R=V/I (5/25) = 0.2 Ohms.
If a current of 25A is set with a resistance greater than 0.2 Ohms, a “Compliance error” red lamp will show on the DC1000 front panel. This will also be associated with an error message “E257”. This indicates that the DC1000 is unable to supply more than 5V.
