The World Leader in Power Analyzers and Transformer Testers
SPEC accepts PM1000+
15 Sep 2011

The versatile PM1000+ power analyzer has been accepted by Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) for benchmarking server power and energy consumption.   Electronics test and design engineers can be confident that the PM1000+ provides accurate results across a broad range of power levels and can be easily integrated with measurement software. As well as providing the required power and energy measurements, the PM1000+ will display waveforms and harmonics on its full colour display. USB and RS232 are standard interfaces, with Ethernet and USB memory interfaces available as an option. Free PC software includes standby power to IEC62301.

SPEC (Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation) "has a long history of designing, developing, and releasing industry-standard computer system performance benchmarks in a range of industry segments, plus peer-reviewing the results of benchmark runs." See the SPEC power committee website for more information.

The PM1000+ was accepted after rigorous testing in accordance with the SPEC power analyzer acceptance process.

The use of older Voltech models PM100 and PM3000A is described in the SPEC Measurement Setup Guide v 1.4
